Account Executive
The Commercial Lines Account Executive will work to maintain their existing client relationships within their book of business as well. He/she will also initiate cross sell opportunities. They will be supported by a Sr. Client Manager in which they’ll indirectly oversee.
Essential Functions
- Manage client relationships
- Responsible for the retention, growth and profitability of profit center book of business
- Ensure adherence to all G2 quality control and legal processes
- Coordinate internal resources for team and client
- Review service contracts
- Oversight with claims and partnering with Director of Coverage & Insurance as necessary
- Ensure clients are responded to within 24 hours
- Benchmark data and identify exposures
- Serve as mentor and resource to team members
- Present to Board and committees as required
- Oversee and coordinate marketing processes
- Craft Client Stewardship Reports/Summary deliveries
- Review proposals and summaries once completed
- Oversight of and participation in Marketing
- Set internal and external strategy meetings
- Pre renewal discussions with the team and/or client
- Present and deliver renewals
- Oversee a Sr. Client Manager
- Solicit referrals/leads from primary contact
- Initiate cross sell opportunities and solicit referrals
Applicants must meet these requirements
- Current Property & Casualty License with a minimum of five years of experience with Non-Profits, Real Estate, and Financial Institutions
- Strong working knowledge of insurance carrier websites and proficient in their rating systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide non-technical explanations to technical matters, and summarize and present information in a clear, concise and accurate written and verbal format
- Good time-management skills, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize
- Ability to work as part of a team, independently, lead and mentor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Applications
- Experience using EPIC is preferred
- Insurance designations a plus

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional field and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Extended work hours required on occasion due to networking and industry functions that begin well before the workday and may extend well into the evening.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
15% – 30% travel may be required. Trips ranging from one day to one week, both in and out of state. Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license with dependable transportation.
